The Scum Sucker V - STAR by D & D Marine Enterprises Inc. is designed to meet the need for a quality hang on skimmer. This unit has maintained our high standard of fabrication using only the highest grade materials. The V - STAR uses our the same high performance true venturi as our high end skimmers for tremendous foaming and stability. Venturi skimmers are by nature far more stabile than aspirators. The Scum Sucker V - STAR has also continued with our signature design concentrator top. The angular concentrator top was introduced into the market over fifteen years ago by D & D Marine Enterprises. The tremendous efficiency of the angular concentrator gives unparalleled control over foam consistency.
The Scum Sucker V - STAR was designed using the same high grade materials as our professional series skimmers. No short cuts were taken in the design and manufacture of the Scum Sucker.
The only hang on skimmer with direct discharge waste, an efficient machined true venturi design, an out flow adjustment, and needs only 3 1/4??? behind the tank. This unit gives the hobbyist the option to purchase a quality product at an affordable price. The V - STAR unlike most hang on skimmers sends very, very few air bubbles back into the tank. If absolute control over bubbles is required a centrifugal degasser is available.
