The Flowtron 2003 from D & D Marine Enterprises brings high performance filtration to the hobbyist. Bag filters have been used in high tech industrial applications for years. Bag filters have even been offered to the aquarium industry but only on the commercial level, large fish rooms, and wholesale operations. Now with the Flowtron 2003, the flexibility and ease of bag filtration is practical for the home aquarium.
Made from only the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, the flowtron will meet the demands of the most advanced hobbyist. The unit can provide filtration levels ranging from 150 micron to nominal 1 micron.
The flowtron is easy to install in line as either a hard piped system or using hose and over the tank ??œU??? tubes provided. Service of the unit could not be easier. Unlike some canisters which have lids that bind and are very hard to remove, with the Flowtron 2003 a simple finger tip twist of the retaining ring and you are into the canister. The unit also has our exclusive ??œblow down??? hook ups to allow the water to be evacuated from the canister prior to opening for a no mess service.
A pressure gauge measures the back pressure inside of the filter bag itself, this ensures proper service intervals of the filter bag. An optional chemical chamber can be used in the Flowtron allowing granular media to be used in the unit at the same time as the bag filter.
